Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 13123-2003 "Bamboo Plywood". Compared with GB/T 13123-2003, the main differences are in structural adjustments and editorial changes. Aside from the modifications, the main technical changes are as follows:

---The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2003 edition);

---Added terms and definitions for bamboo plywood and bamboo veneer (see 3.1, 3.2), and revised the terminology for edge defects. Definitions (see 3.3,.2003 edition), removing bamboo woven plywood, veneered bamboo plywood, and bamboo plywood that has undergone boiling (soaking) and drying treatment. Terms and definitions for bending strength, thin bamboo plywood, and thick bamboo plywood (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.8~

1 Scope

GB/T 13123-2026 is the Chinese national standard on bamboo plywood, in the field of wood technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 28 January 2026 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 August 2026. This document defines the terminology and definitions for bamboo plywood, and specifies its classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, product marking, and packaging. The loading, transportation, and storage of samples are described, along with the experimental methods. This document applies to ordinary bamboo plywood in the fields of decoration, home furnishing, etc. This document does not apply to bamboo plywood used for concrete formwork, bamboo plywood used for automobile bed flooring, or other materials with different structures and special performance requirements. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36394-2018, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 bamboo plywood lamination A board with a set width is made by gluing together finely planed bamboo strips with parallel fibers.
