Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 13010-2006 "Sliced Veneer". Compared with GB/T 13010-2006 "Sliced Veneer", the main technical changes of this standard include.

---Modified the scope of standard application;

---The standard structure has undergone major changes;

---Added the definition of veneer, sawn veneer and rotary cut veneer (see 3.1, 3.3, 3.4);

---Modified the definition of sliced veneer and quoted the definition specified in GB/T 18259-2018 (see 3.2);

---Added the classification of veneers "according to processing method" and "according to purpose", only retaining the classification of "according to the edge processing status" (see Chapter 4,.2006 edition) Chapter 4);

--- Deleted tree species (see

5.1 in the.2006 edition);

---Modified the lower limit of the sliced veneer width from 60mm to 50mm (see Table 1);

1 Scope

GB/T 13010-2020 is the Chinese national standard on veneer for wood industry, in the field of wood technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 19 November 2020 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 June 2021. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18259-2018 apply to this document. For ease of use, the following is repeated Certain terms and definitions in GB/T 18259-2018.

3.1 veneer Thin wood materials with a maximum thickness of 6mm produced by peeling, planing or sawing methods.
