Bamboo is a tall tree-like grass plant. In my country, it is mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangdong. 1 Scope

This document gives guidance on running a bamboo industry project set up as industrial assistance: how the project is organised, how it is managed through its life, and what has to be in place for it to keep going once the assistance ends. Industrial assistance is the mechanism through which China moved rural populations out of poverty by planting an industry in a place rather than transferring money to it. Bamboo is one of the favoured vehicles - it grows fast, it suits mountainous land, and it feeds a processing chain from flooring to textiles. The documents in this group are about the part that usually fails: keeping the operation running after the programme moves on. Issued on 6 August 2023 by SAMR and SAC as a guiding technical document, in force from the same day. It sits with GB/Z 42962 on pig farming and GB/Z 42993 on flowers, the other two project types in the series.

This document provides the project conditions, project organization formation, responsibilities of all project parties, project operation, and expected project revenue of the bamboo industry assistance project. It provides guidance on benefits, project risk prevention and response, project evaluation and improvement, and provides typical cases of bamboo industry assistance projects. This document applies to the operation and management of bamboo industry assistance projects.
