Foreword

This standard replaces GB/T 12173-1990 "Mine general electrical equipment." This standard compared with GB/T 12173-1990, the main changes are as follows:

5.1 structural inspection";

--- Modify the "shell strength" requirements (1990 version 4.1.2.2;

--- Modify the "shell protection grade" requirements (1990 version 4.1.2.3;

4.2.3 of this standard);

--- Modify the "fasteners" requirements (1990 version 4.1.2.6;

4.2.5 of this standard);

1 Scope

GB/T 12173-2008 is the Chinese national standard on mining electrical apparatus for non hazardous area, in the field of electrical engineering. This standard specifies the general mining electrical equipment (hereinafter referred to as equipment) requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs. This standard applies to non-coal mine gas and other industrial sectors like underground coal dust explosion hazard and non-coal mines such as the use of Manufacture and testing of electrical equipment. This standard does not apply to cables and wires.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1 Electrical similar underground coal mine industrial sectors for no gas, and coal dust explosion dangerous places such as the use of non-coal mines equipment.

4.1 General Requirements

4.1.1 Mine general electrical equipment shall comply with the requirements of this standard and manufactured in accordance with prescribed procedures approved by the drawings and technical documents.

4.1.2 In addition to meeting this standard, the mine with the general provisions of electrical equipment should also meet the standards of their respective products.

4.1.3 Mine general electrical equipment should be able to work under the following conditions.

a) Altitude. low voltage electrical equipment for the 2000m, high-voltage electrical equipment for the 1000m; NOTE. High-voltage electrical equipment at an altitude of more than 1000m, conducted in accordance with JB/Z102-1971 conversion related parameters.

b) ambient temperature -20 °C ~ + 40 °C;

c) the ambient air monthly average relative humidity less than 95% (25 °C);

d) in the absence of damage to the insulating gas or steam environment.
