GB/T 22380 `` Explosion-proof safety technology for fuel gas stations '' is divided into several parts.

1 Scope

GB/T 22380.3-2019 is the Chinese national standard on explosion protected safety technique of the petrol filling station - part 3: safety requirements for construction and performance of shear valves, in the field of electrical engineering. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 22380.1-2017 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Shear valve A normally open valve closes when subjected to shock or heat, prevents fluid flow from a pressure source, and continues to hold after action shut down.

3.2 Main valve (liquid) The normally open valve on the inlet side is closed when the shear valve is activated.
