1 Scope

GB/T 10822-2014 is the Chinese national standard on flame retardant conveyor belts of textile construction for general use, in the field of materials handling equipment. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. This Standard specifies the marking, technical requirements, inspection, marks, packaging, storage and transportation for flame retardant conveyor belts of textile construction for general use with rubber coverings (hereinafter referred to as belts). This Standard applies to flame retardant conveyor belts of textile construction for general use used in chemical, coal, metallurgy and electric power industries. This Standard applies to flame retardant conveyor belts of textile construction for general use with a working environment temperature of -20°C~45°C. This Standard does not apply to flame retardant conveyor belts used in coal mines. It is also inapplicable to flame retardant conveyor belts with metal skeletons.
