Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 10650-2008 "Fresh Pears". Compared with GB/T 10650-2008, the main differences are structural adjustments and editorial changes. In addition, the main technological changes are as follows:

---The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

---The following terms have been removed. "Variety Characteristics", "Maturity", "Maturity Level", "Prick Wound", "Injury from Impact", "Abrasion", "Pesticide Damage", "Sunburn", "Hail Damage", "Diseases", and "Physiological Conditions". Terms and definitions for "sexually transmitted diseases," "infectious diseases," "insect damage," "insect-infested fruit," "external moisture," and "tolerance" (see Chapter 3,.2008 edition). Chapter 3);

---The quality requirements have been changed (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the.2008 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 10650-2025 is the Chinese national standard on fresh pears, in the field of food technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 31 December 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2026. Classification: ICS 67.080.10, CCS B31. This document specifies the requirements for the quality, inspection rules, packaging and labeling, storage and transportation of fresh pears, and describes the corresponding inspection methods. This document applies to the quality grading and commercial distribution of fresh pears.

This document does not contain any terms or definitions that need to be defined.

4 Quality Requirements

4.1 Basic Requirements Fresh pears should meet the following basic requirements.

---Possesses the inherent characteristics of this variety;

---The fruit should be intact and in good condition; fresh and clean, without any off-odors or abnormal flavors; free from foreign moisture; free from rot; free from thorns, scratches, or disease. Insect-damaged fruit, no hail damage;

---It has a maturity level suitable for market sales or storage requirements.

4.2 Classification The grading of fresh pears should meet the requirements of Table 1.
