Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 10073-2008 "Method for Evaluation of Image Quality of Electrostatic Copies", and compared with GB/T 10073-2008, except In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Changed part of the content of the reference implementation in the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2008 edition);

---Deleted GB/T 13334-2008 and other normative reference documents (see Chapter 2 of the.2008 edition);

---Added GB/T 13963-2012, GB/T 24988, GB/T 28625-2012 and other normative reference documents (see Chapter 2);

1 Scope

GB/T 10073-2021 is the Chinese national standard on methods of evaluation for image quality of electrostatic copies, in the field of image technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 11 October 2021 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2022. This document describes the image quality evaluation method for xerographic copies. This document is suitable for the evaluation of the image quality of printed products of black and white xerographic copiers (including multifunction machines), as well as for consumable materials (Such as. photoconductor drum, toner, etc.) related to the evaluation of the image quality of printed products. 4 Test environment and conditions

4.1 Test environment The test environment is as follows:

a) Ambient temperature. 18°C~28°C, relative humidity. 40%~60%;

b) Illumination of the test bench. 500lx~1500lx.
