Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted. This document replaces GB/T 10992.3-2008 "Electrostatic Copiers - Part

3.Copiers for Engineering Drawings", and GB/T 10992.3- Compared with.2008, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Normative references such as GB 1002-1996 are deleted (see Chapter 2 of the.2008 edition);

b) Normative references such as GB/T 9969 and GB/T 13384 have been added (see Chapter 2);

c) Changed the term "engineering drawing xerography" (see 3.1,

3.1 of the.2008 edition);

d) Added the terms and definitions of "large-format multifunction machine" (see 3.2);

e) The terms of Maximum Copy Paper Width, Maximum Copy Length, Maximum Feed Skew, Abnormal Print, and Maximum Copy Format are deleted. and definitions (see 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5,

3.6 of the.2008 edition);

f) Changed the temperature requirements in the working voltage and general environmental conditions (see 4.2,

4.2 of the.2008 edition);

g) Changed the free fall height in the drop test (see

4.3 Table 1 of the.2008 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 10992-2022 is the Chinese national standard on engineering electrostatic copiers, in the field of image technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 9 March 2022 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 October 2022. Classification: ICS 37.100.10, CCS N 47. 3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 13963-2012 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 The copy size is above A3, and the electrostatic copier is Class I anti-electric shock protection.

3.2 A machine with two or more functions, such as printing, copying, faxing, scanning, etc., with a format above A3.

Note. The simple copy function of the fax machine is not a kind of multi-function.
