1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules and labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of toner cartridges for electrostatic copying (including multi-function) equipment.

The corresponding test methods are described.

This document applies to black-and-white and color xerographic copiers/printers and all-in-one machines (including laser printers) with copying as the basic function.

The manufacture of new and remanufactured toner cartridges for use with electronic and LED models. The manufacture of other products that only have a drum assembly is used for reference.

This document does not apply to toner cartridges for large format devices and toner cartridges for copy/print devices with a copy/print speed greater than 70 pages/min.
