Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 17540-1998 "General Specifications for Desktop Laser Printers". This standard is compared with GB/T 17540-1998. The main technical changes except editorial changes are as follows:

--- Revised the "scope" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.1998 edition);

--- Added "terms and definitions", and changed the subsequent chapter number accordingly (see Chapter 3);

1 Scope

GB/T 17540-2017 is the Chinese national standard on general specification for desktop laser printers, in the field of information technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 1 November 2017 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2018. This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, quality assessment procedures and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of desktop laser printers. This standard applies to the design and manufacture of desktop laser printers (hereinafter referred to as. products). This standard is the basis for the development of product standards. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Laser printer laserprinter An electrostatic imaging printer using a laser source.

3.2 Print area printablearea The location and size of the product that can be printed on the media.

3.3 Print speed printspeed The number of pages of the test sample printed per minute of the product.

Note. The unit is page per minute (ppm).

3.4 First set of printing time firstsetouttime FSOT The time required to complete the output from the time the print order is issued until the first set of prints (standard test sample).

Note 1. The unit is seconds (s).

Note 2. The first set of printing time is equivalent to the FSOT of ISO /IEC 24734.

3.5 Multi-page print speed multi-pagesprintingspeed The product prints the number of pages of standard test proofs in different file formats per minute.

Note 1. The unit is page per minute (ppm).

Note 2. The multi-page printing speed is equivalent to the ESAT of ISO /IEC 24734.

3.6 Print preparation time getreadytimeforprint The time from when a print order is issued to when the pickup roller starts to operate.

Note. The unit is seconds (s).

3.7 Home print time firstprintouttime Start from the pickup roller and go to the first page of the print (standard test sample) to fully output the required time.

5 Test methods

5.1 Test conditions Unless otherwise specified, the tests were carried out under the following conditions.

a) Temperature. 15 ° C ~ 35 ° C;

b) Relative humidity. 25%~75%;

c) Atmospheric pressure. 86kPa~106kPa.

4.3.2 Interface The product shall have at least one of a parallel interface, a universal serial bus interface, an Ethernet interface or a wireless interface, and shall conform to the phase Should be in accordance with the standard.

4.3.3 Alarms The product should issue an alarm signal in the following situations.

a) hardware failure;

b) the paper is exhausted, the toner is insufficient, and the toner is used up;

Note. The alarm signal can be an indicator light, sound, text or other type of alarm signal.

4.3.4 Self-test The product's self-test (program) should have the following functions.

a) can check if the hardware is wrong;

b) If there is a built-in Chinese character library, it should be able to print out all the fonts in the mandatory part of GB 18030.

4.4 Security The safety requirements of the product shall comply with the provisions of GB 4943.1. The wire assembly of the product shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 15934.

4.5 Power Adaptability AC powered products should be able to work normally under 220V ± 22V, 50Hz ± 1Hz conditions. DC-powered products should be able to operate normally at (100 ± 5)% of the nominal DC voltage. DC voltage nominal value Product standard regulations.
