1 Scope

GB 7956.5-2019 is the Chinese national standard on fire fighting vehicles - part 5: gas fire fighting vehicle, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. 3 Terms and definitions

3.2 Vehicle-mounted gas fire extinguishing system Equipped on fire trucks, mainly composed of cylinders or tanks of gas extinguishing agents, gas pipelines, safety valves, pressure reducing valves, connecting hoses and injectors, etc. It is a fire extinguishing system that can decompress, release and spray compressed gas fire extinguishing agent.

3.3 Effective discharge rate The mass or volume of gas fire extinguishing agent released and sprayed by the ejector per unit time.

3.4 Minimum working pressure The minimum pressure behind the pressure reducing valve when spraying on a vehicle-mounted gas fire extinguishing system.

3.5 Maximum working pressure The maximum pressure behind the pressure reducing valve during the injection of a vehicle-mounted gas fire extinguishing system.
