GB 26875.1-2011 is the English-translated version of 城市消防远程监控系统第1部分：用户信息传输装置.

GB 26875.1-2011 is Part 1 of the six-part national standard on remote-monitoring systems of urban fire protection and specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking of the user information transmission device, the unit installed in a networked building that passes fire alarm, facility status and manual alarm information to the monitoring centre.

It applies to such devices installed in general industrial and civil buildings; Clauses 4 and 7 are mandatory and the remainder is recommended.

The requirements cover transmission of fire alarm, facility operating status and manual alarm information to the monitoring centre within 10 s with priority rules, patrol inspection and duty check responses, local fault alarms within 100 s, self-test, main and standby power supplies (85 % to 110 % of 220 V, at least 8 h of standby operation), insulation resistance of 20 MOmega and 50 MOmega, electric strength at 1 250 V, electromagnetic compatibility, climatic and mechanical environment tests, software, three operation levels, and main components such as indicator lamps, displays, audible devices, fuses, terminals, batteries and wiring.

The communication protocol and retransmission mechanism refer to GB/T 26875.3-2011 and the operating status information to GB 50440. Issued on 29 July 2011 and in force since 1 May 2012.

GB 26875 Remote-monitoring system of urban fire protection is divided into six parts:

- Part 1: User information transmission device;

- Part 2: Functional requirements for communication server software;

- Part 3: Communication protocol for the alarm transmission network;

- Part 5: Functional requirements for alarm receiving software;

- Part 6: Functional requirements for information management software.

This part is Part 1 of GB 26875.
