Foreword
This Standard replaces GB 14930.1-2015 National Food Safety Standard - Detergent.
Compared with GB 14930.1-2015, the major changes of this Standard are as follows.
-- Delete terms and definitions, and include relevant content in the scope;
-- Add basic requirements;
-- Refine the requirements for raw materials, and add Appendix A to clarify the raw
materials that can be used in detergent products;
-- Add the limit indicator of 1,4-dioxane;
-- Add microbial sampling methods;
-- Modify product marking requirements.
National Food Safety Standard - Detergent
1 Scope
This Standard applies to detergents for washing food, tableware, drinking utensils, and
tools, equipment or food packaging materials and containers that come into direct
contact with food.
2 Product classification
Products -- according to the different uses -- are divided into two classes.
-- Class A products, detergents directly used for cleaning food;
-- Class B products, detergents for cleaning tableware, drinking utensils, and tools,
equipment or food packaging materials and containers that come into direct
contact with food.
3 Basic requirements
3.1 Under the recommended conditions of use of detergents, the level of substances
remaining in or migrating into food shall not be harmful to human health.
3.2 Under the recommended conditions of use of detergents, the level of substances
remaining in or migrating into food shall not cause changes in the composition,
structure, color, aroma, and other properties of the food, and shall not produce technical
functions for the food.
3.3 The raw materials of detergents shall comply with relevant national standards and
regulations; the manufacturer shall control unintentional additives such as impurities,
decomposition products, and reaction products, so as to ensure that the products meet
the requirements of 3.1 and 3.2.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Requirements for raw materials

4.2.1 Physical and chemical indicators
Physical and chemical indicators shall be in accordance with Table 1.
4.2.2 Microbial limits
Microbial limits shall be in accordance with Table 2.
5 Others
The minimum sales package of the product shall be marked with the class of the product
(Class A, Class B), and shall be marked with "detergents shall be removed by effective
means such as rinsing after cleaning the dirt" or other similar terms. Among them, Class
A products can be marked with "it can be directly used for cleaning food", "it can be
directly contacted with food" or other similar terms.
Appendix A
Raw materials allowed for Class A products and requirements
A.1 The determination of the substances in Table A.1 shall be based on the Chinese
name and the CAS number as a reference.
A.2 In addition to the substances listed in this Appendix, substances that meet the
following requirements can also be used as raw materials for Class A products.
a) Substances consisting of a series of homologs in Table A.1, of which one homolog
or a combination of multiple homologs can also be used.
