Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

This document replaces YY/T 0967.1-2015 "Dental Rotary Instrument Rod Part 1: Metal Rod", YY/T 0967.2-2015 "Dental Rotary Instrument Rod Part 2: Plastic Rod", YY/T 0967.3-2016 "Dental Rotary Instrument Rod Part 3: Ceramic Rod". This document is compared with YY/T 0967.1-2015, YY/T 0967.2-2015, YY/T 0967.3-2016, except for structural adjustment and In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Changed the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2015 edition, Chapter 1 of the.2016 edition);

--- Added terms and definitions for mobile phones, instruments, reciprocating instruments, rotating instruments and mating lengths (see 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.1.6);

--- Changed the tensile strength of the plastic rod (see 5.2.3.2, 4.5 of the.2015 edition);

--- Added specific sampling and evaluation methods (see Chapter 6);

--- Increased the experimental method of resistance to expansion during repeated processing (see 7.7.3);

--- Changed the product defect as Appendix A (see Appendix A, Appendix A of the.2016 edition).

This document uses the redrafting method to amend ISO 1797:2017, Rods for Rotary and Reciprocating Instruments in Dentistry.

The technical differences between this document and ISO 1797:2017 and their reasons are as follows.

--- Regarding normative reference documents, this document has made adjustments with technical differences to adapt to the technical conditions of our country and facilitate this article.

According to the implementation of the document, the adjustment situation is mainly reflected in Chapter 2 "Normative Reference Documents", and the specific adjustment is as follows.

- Replace ISO 527-2 with GB/T 1040.2 which is equivalent to adopting international standards (see 7.6);

- Replace ISO 1101 with GB/T 1182 which is modified to adopt international standard (see 5.1.3);

- Replace ISO 6507-1 (see 7.5) with GB/T 4340.1 modified to adopt international standards;

- Replace ISO 3274 with GB/T 6062 which is equivalent to adopting international standards (see 7.4);

- Replace ISO 1942 with GB/T 9937 which is modified to adopt international standard (see 3.1);

- Replace ISO 4288 with GB/T 10610 which is equivalent to adopting international standards (see 7.4);

- Replacing ISO 8325 with YY/T 0874 which is equivalent to adopting international standards (see 7.1, 7.2);

- Replacing ISO 14457 with YY 1807 modified to adopt international standards (see 3.1);

- Replacing EN 843-4 with GB/T 16534 modified to adopt international standards (see 7.5);

--- Deleted "manufacturer" in 7.1 and 7.2, the manufacturer and inspection agency should verify whether the accuracy of the measuring device is applicable.

1 Scope

This document specifies the dimensions and material property requirements for the rods of dental rotary and reciprocating instruments and the measurement methods to verify these requirements and information identifying the location.

This document does not apply to tips that are threaded onto the handpiece, such as scaler tips.
