NB/T 20328.2-2015 is the English-translated version of 核电厂核岛机械设备无损检测另一规范 第2部分:超声检测.

Part 2 of NB/T 20328, issued as NB/T 20328.2-2015, is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard for the ultrasonic testing of nuclear island mechanical components in nuclear power plants.

It gives the common technical requirements and acceptance criteria for A-scan pulse echo ultrasonic testing of nuclear island materials, machinery, equipment and welds, the technical requirements for measuring the thickness of a workpiece by contact pulse echo, and annexes with further test requirements and acceptance criteria for particular types of workpiece.

It applies during manufacture and installation to plate, castings, forgings, rolled bar, bolts, pipe and other raw material and spare parts, and to welded joints, buttering and surfacing layers.

It quotes GB/T 12604.1, GB/T 19799.1 and NB/T 20328.1. Issued on 2 April 2015, it has applied since 1 September 2015.
