NB/T 20328.1-2015 opens a six-part recommended energy industry standard of China on the non-destructive testing of the mechanical components of the nuclear island in nuclear power plants.

This first part carries the general requirements and the principles governing the use of ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, eddy current testing, visual inspection and leak testing.

It applies to non-destructive testing performed during the manufacture and the installation of nuclear island machinery and equipment. It is read with the method parts NB/T 20328.2 to NB/T 20328.6, and it quotes NB/T 20003.7, NB/T 20003.8 and HAF 602. Issued on 2 April 2015, it has applied since 1 September 2015.
