Scope

GB/T 19799.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 无损检测 超声检测试块 第1部分:1号标准试块.

Ultrasonic inspection depends on reference blocks whose geometry and material are known, and this document deals with the first of those blocks, the standard block No.1, within the non-destructive testing series on ultrasonic testing blocks. It is Part 1 of a multi-part series and is a recommended national standard rather than a mandatory one. Calibration laboratories, block manufacturers, NDT service companies and quality departments that set up and check ultrasonic flaw detectors will find it relevant when they need a consistent reference artefact for instrument and probe checks.

Issued on 30 July 2026, the standard takes effect on 1 February 2027 and replaces GB/T 19799.1-2015. Anyone who purchases, produces or verifies this type of block for work in China should confirm which edition their contracts and procedures call up before the changeover date.
