NB/T 10553-2021 is the English-translated version of 固硫洁净型煤.

NB/T 10553-2021 is the Chinese energy industry standard for sulfur-fixing clean briquettes, coal products made with additives such as sulfur-fixing agents, binders, combustion improvers and waterproofing agents.

It defines quality grades, sets quality requirements and test methods for both the raw materials and the finished briquettes, and lays down factory and type inspection rules.

Labeling, packaging, transport and storage are also covered. A normative annex gives the method for determining the sulfur fixation rate. The standard applies to the production, sale, use and testing of these briquettes. Issued on 7 January 2021, it has applied since 1 April 2021.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the quality grades, quality requirements and test methods, inspection rules, identification, packaging, transportation and storage of sulfur-fixed clean briquette.

This standard applies to the production, sales, use and testing of clean briquette with solid sulfur.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB 34170-2017 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Additives

In order to improve the level of clean and efficient utilization of coal, organic or inorganic substances are added to raw coal.

Note: Additives include. sulfur-fixing agent, binder, combustion accelerant, waterproofing agent, etc.
