Scope
NB/T 10519-2021 is the English-translated version of 现代化安全高效绿色露天煤矿评价技术条件.
NB/T 10519-2021 is the Chinese energy industry standard that fixes the technical conditions an open-pit coal mine must meet to be rated a modern, safe, efficient and green mine.
It defines such a mine together with environmental protection and energy saving and emission reduction, then states general provisions and technical requirements grouped under safety, efficiency and green operation.
The requirements draw on national limits for energy consumption in open-pit mining and coal preparation, recovery rate calculation, commercial coal quality control and green mine construction in the coal industry.
It is used to assess open-pit coal mines already in production, and designers and builders of new mines may refer to it. Issued on 7 January 2021, it has applied since 1 April 2021.
