It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9746.2-1999.
It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 9746 series.
2 Scope
This standard is the second part of a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on marine gearboxes, covering grey iron castings. It fixes the material, the dimensional tolerances, the machining allowances, the weight deviation and the permissible range of casting defects, together with the corresponding test methods and inspection rules.
