JB/T 9246-2016 was issued by MIIT on 22 October 2016 and has been in force since 1 April 2017.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9246-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on turbine flow transducers. It gives terms and definitions, the product classification and the basic parameters, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and then marking, packaging and storage. It applies to turbine flow sensors that measure the flow of a fluid in a closed, full pipeline, and sensors working under special operating conditions are covered as well. It replaces JB/T 9246-1999.
