JB/T 8468-2014 is the English-translated version of 锻钢件磁粉检测.

JB/T 8468-2014 was issued by MIIT on 9 July 2014 and has been in force since 1 November 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8468-1996.
2 Scope
This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the magnetic particle testing of steel forgings. It describes the method by which a forging is examined and the way the magnetic indications obtained are assessed. It is used to detect discontinuities at the surface and near the surface of steel forgings. Drafted with reference to EN 10228-1:1999, which it adopts in a non-equivalent manner, it carries the Chinese classification J32 and the international classification 77.140.85.
