JB/T 7489-2020 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the rework soldering of printed circuit board assemblies in instruments and meters. It specifies the process conditions for repair soldering work and defines its scope and its methods. The standard applies to the repair soldering of printed circuit board assemblies used in instrumentation, and boards from other industries may be worked on by reference to it. It is classified N06 and quotes GB/T 2423.28-2005, GB/T 3131-2001, GB/T 7157 and GB 50169-2016. It took the place of JB/T 7489-1994, the earlier repair welding process specification for instrument printed board assemblies. Issued on 1 January 2020, it has applied since 1 July 2021.
