1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and instructions, packaging, transportation and soldering iron and heat gun.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Electric iron
An appliance with an electrically heated tip.
3.2 Ordinary soldering iron
An electric soldering iron whose operating temperature is proportional to the operating voltage value.
3.3 Thermostat soldering iron
Controlled by electronic circuits or other devices, the operating temperature is not affected by changes in external factors under rated operating conditions, and can be automatically maintained.
Hold the soldering iron at the set value.
Note. This type of soldering iron is usually used in welding operations where the welding temperature is critical.
