JB/T 6479-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6479-1992.
2 Scope
Metal oxide surge arresters with series gaps, used to protect line traps in a.c. power systems, are the subject of JB/T 6479-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry.
