1 Foreword

JB/T 4278.1-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4278.1-1993.

It is one of 28 parts of the JB/T 4278 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the general part of the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on verification procedures for the test equipment used on rubber and plastic wires and cables. It gives the terms and definitions of those verification methods and settles the matters common to the whole subject, among them the calibration and verification certificates, the notices on the test results of the apparatus and the design of the cover. It applies to the test instruments and equipment used on rubber and plastic wires and cables, and the methods it lays down apply to equipment that is newly manufactured, in use or repaired. It quotes GB/T 8170. It replaces JB/T 4278.1-1993.
