1 Foreword

JB/T 4278.6-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4278.6-1993.

It is one of 28 parts of the JB/T 4278 series.

2 Scope

This standard is part 6 of the Chinese machinery industry recommended standard on verification procedures for test equipment used on rubber and plastic wire and cable, and it covers the natural ventilation thermal aging test oven. It gives the test items and the technical requirements of the natural ventilation heat aging chamber, the apparatus used, the test methods and the treatment of the results. Measurements made inside the working space of natural ventilation chambers for wires and cables are what it applies to. It sits under Chinese classification K13 and international classification 29.060, and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It quotes JB/T 4278.1-2011, and it supersedes JB/T 4278.6-1993.
