HG/T 4038-2008 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for Vat dark blue VB, the dye also designated vat dark blue 4BR. The document sets the product requirements and covers sampling, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage, and it is intended for the quality control of the dye and of the blends made with it. The colorant is used chiefly for dyeing cotton, linen and viscose fibre and for printing the fabrics made from them.
