HG/T 30004-2012 sets the production safety requirements for vat blue RSN, the vat dye indexed as C.I. Vat Blue 4. It follows the manufacturing route from 1-aminoanthraquinone, 1,2-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, potassium hydroxide and sodium hydrosulfite through condensation, separation, purification, acidification, sand milling and spray drying to the finished dye. It belongs to the safety group of chemical industry standards, classified G01 with ICS 71.020. The rules it invokes are those of general industrial safety and plant design, among them GB 5083, GB 7231, GB 7251.1, GB 12158, GB 14050, GB 50016, GB 50052, GB 50057, GB 50116, GBZ 2.1 and GBZ 2.2, as well as the HG 23011 to HG 23016 series. It takes the place of HG A047-1983.
