3 Product classification

According to the product form, ruthenium trichloride is classified into solid ruthenium trichloride and liquid ruthenium trichloride (ruthenium trichloride aqueous hydrochloric acid solution).

4 Appearance and properties

4.1

Solid ruthenium trichloride shall be beta-crystal particles with certain luster, of which the color varies with different water content and process and is generally grayish brown or dark red, and which are easily deliquescent, soluble in water and alcohol and decomposed in hot water.

4.2

Liquid ruthenium trichloride is reddish brown, strongly acid, and soluble with water and alcohol.

5 Requirements

Ruthenium trichloride for dimensionally stable anode coating in electrolyzer shall meet those specified in Tables 1 and 2. In case of exceeding the scope or using recycled ruthenium and compounds as raw materials, the addition of impurity elements or other requirements, if necessary, may be agreed by the supplier and the demander and indicated in the contract.

5.1 Requirements for solid ruthenium trichloride
