HG/T 2588-2012 is the English-translated version of 直接艳黄4R.
HG/T 2588-2012 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for direct brilliant yellow 4R, the dye also known as direct yellow G and listed as C.I. Direct Yellow 12. It gives the requirements for the product and covers sampling, test methods and inspection rules, as well as marking, labels, packaging, transport and storage, and it serves the quality control of that dye. Its Chinese classification is G57 and its international classification 71.100.01 together with 87.060.10. It quotes GB/T 2374-2007, GB/T 2381-2006, GB/T 3920-2008, GB/T 3921-2008, GB/T 4841.1-2006, GB/T 8427-2008 and GB 19601, among others, and it replaces HG/T 2588-2004. Issued on 28 December 2012, it has applied since 1 June 2013.
