Scope

HG/T 2468-2009 is the English-translated version of 不锈钢铁道罐车.

HG/T 2468-2009 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for stainless steel railway tank cars. It sets out the design, manufacture, inspection and acceptance requirements for tank cars carrying media whose saturated vapour pressure at 50 °C is below 0.1 MPa. It applies to standard-gauge stainless steel railway tankers with a design temperature of 50 °C or less used to move fine chemical products. The text quotes GB 146.1, GB 150, GB/T 4237, GB/T 14976, GB/T 5599 and GB/T 5601, with the GB/T 4549 series and with the HG 20592-1997 to HG 20620-1997 flange documents. It replaces HG 2468-1993. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
