HG/T 2080-2010 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for cationic fluorescent yellow 4GL 500%, the basic dye indexed as C.I. Basic Yellow 24 and also sold as cationic yellow 7GL. It sets the product requirements and prescribes the sampling, test methods and inspection rules, together with the signs, labels, packaging, transport and storage of the dye. The standard serves the quality control of cationic fluorescent yellow 4GL 500% at the strength stated in its title. Its colour and fastness testing calls up GB/T 2374, GB/T 2381, GB/T 2386, GB/T 2402, GB/T 3920, GB/T 3921, GB/T 4841.1, GB/T 7568.7 and GB/T 8427, with GB 19601 and GB 20814 also cited. It replaces HG/T 2080-2001. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
