Scope
GB/T 8767-2010 is the English-translated version of 锆及锆合金铸锭.
GB/T 8767-2010 is the Chinese national product standard for zirconium and zirconium alloy ingots of a diameter not more than 820 mm.
It sets the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, storage and contract content, and names six grades, Zr-1, Zr-3 and Zr-5 for general industry and Zr-0, Zr-2 and Zr-4 for the nuclear industry, whose composition is taken from GB/T 26314.
The dimensional clauses tabulate the minus tolerance on diameter by size band, require the head and tail ends to be chamfered by not less than 20 mm and limit the spread between the largest and smallest diameter of one ingot to 10% of the largest.
It applies to ingots made in a vacuum consumable arc furnace. It replaces GB/T 8767-1988, was issued on 14 January 2011 and has applied since 1 November 2011.

Foreword
This standard replaces GB/T 8767-1988 "nuclear industry Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy Ingots." This standard compared with GB/T 8767-1988, mainly in the following changes.
--- Standard name from the "nuclear industry Zirconium and Zirconium alloy ingots" to "zirconium and zirconium alloy ingots";
--- Increased Normative documents project;
--- Remove the chemical composition table ingot, references GB/T 26314 "Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy and chemical ingredients";
--- Increasing the general industrial Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy ingots requirements;
--- Increased requirements for chemical analysis methods;
--- Increased ingot packing method;
--- Increasing the contract (or purchase order) requirements;
--- The chemical composition of samples were re-specified;
--- Added Appendix A. Appendix A of this standard is the data appendix. The standard proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association. This standard Nonferrous Metals by the National Standardization Technical Committee.
This standard by the Baoji Titanium Group Ltd., Baoji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. is responsible for drafting.
This standard by Guangdong Eastern zirconium Technology Co., Ltd. participated in the drafting.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the diameter of not more than 820mm of general industrial and nuclear industry Zirconium and Zirconium Alloy ingot requirements, test methods, inspection Rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and contracts (or orders) requirements.
This standard applies to vacuum consumable arc furnace production of zirconium and zirconium alloy ingot.
