Foreword

GB/T 7689 "Test method for woven fabrics reinforced" is divided into five sections.

--- Part 1. Determination of thickness;

--- Part 2. warp, weft density measurement;

--- Part 3. Determination of width and length;

--- Part 4. Determination of bending stiffness;

--- Part 5. Determination of breaking glass fiber tensile strength and elongation.

This part of GB/T 17689 Part of.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This Part replaces GB/T 7689.1-2001 "Reinforcements method for woven fabrics Part 1. Determination of thickness of glass fiber" and GB/T 7689.1-2001 main differences are as follows.

--- The scope of application to glass fiber reinforced materials (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2001 edition);

--- Thickness of the scope of woven fabrics by "not less than 0.1mm" was changed to "greater than or equal to 0.01mm" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2001 edition);

--- Remove the "Normative references" in the GB/T 18374-2001, increasing the GB/T 2918-1998 and ISO 2602 (See Chapter 2, Section 2 of the 2001 edition);

--- Adds a test conditions (see 52, 2001 version 5.2.);

--- Increase the content of the test report need to give [see Chapter 9 in e) and f items), 2001 edition of the Chapter 10 g) Items and h),].

This section uses redrafted law revision using ISO 4603:1993 "woven glass fabric thickness measuring machine." this part of ISO 4603:1993 and the technical differences for the following reasons.

--- To increase the use of standards for products made of glass fiber woven fabric to expand into the reinforcing material woven fabric (see Chapter 1);

1 Scope

GB/T 7689 provisions of this part of reinforced determination woven fabrics thickness.

This method is suitable for the yarn, and twisted (plied) yarn (continuous or fixed length), roving, textured yarn or a composite woven the thickness of greater than or equal to 0.01mm machine fabric.

For the staple fiber yarn or textured yarn woven fabric machine, comprising only of warp or weft yarns from these fabrics, the method can also be used the determination of compression ratio.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
