Scope

GB/T 5495-2008 is the English-translated version of 粮油检验 稻谷出糙率检验.

GB/T 5495-2008 is a grain and oils inspection method for the husked rice yield of paddy, a property which the standard title at the head of the page calls the husked rice yield from paddy while the draft version of the body renders it as roughness throughout.

Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the terms and definitions, principle, apparatus and appliances, sampling, sample preparation, procedures and calculation of results for that property of paddy, and that it applies to its measurement on commodity rice.

Clause 3 carries two definitions whose term names the draft does not print: the first describes the brown rice left from paddy once impurities and the outer husk are removed, in a sentence the draft leaves ungrammatical, and the second describes the mass fraction, relative to the sample, of the shelled sample, with a parenthesis on how the mass of imperfect grains is counted that the draft does not render readably.

The clause printed as Principle 4 combines shelling on the hulling machine the draft calls a hand-hulling machine with husking and a sensory examination of imperfect brown rice grains, after which the masses of the rice, the brown rice and the imperfect grains are weighed and the result is calculated.

Clause 5, apparatus and appliances, calls for a balance with a division value of 0.01 g, a sampler or sub-model, a grain sieve with 2.0 mm round holes and an experimental hulling machine; clause 6 refers sampling to GB 5491, and clause 7 requires a laboratory sample of not less than 1.0 kg, divided by the method of GB 5491 and then cleaned of impurities and husk by the method of GB/T 5494.

Clause 2 cites GB 1350, GB 5491 and GB/T 5494, and the draft version on the page ends with 7.3, so the operating procedure and the calculation are not shown.

The foreword records that the standard was renamed, that normative references, terms and definitions and a principle clause were added, and that the net rice sample quantity went from 20 g to a range of 20 g to 25 g.

The page gives ICS 67.060 and Chinese classification B20. It replaces GB/T 5495-1985, was issued on 2008-11-04 and has applied since 2009-01-20.

Foreword

This standard replaces GB/T 5495-1985 "grain and oilseeds test the rice roughness test method." This standard and GB/T 5495-1985 compared to the major differences are as follows.

--- Change the standard name is "Inspection of grain and rice out of the roughness test";

--- Increasing the normative references, terms and definitions, principles;

--- Net rice, the roughness is defined;

--- The net amount of rice samples from the original 20g to 20g ~ 25g.

The standard proposed by the National Food Authority.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the roughness paddy terms and definitions, principles, apparatus and appliances, for sampling, sample preparation, procedures, and results of calculations.

This standard applies to the commodity rice roughness measurement.

2 Normative references

The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard and become the standard terms. For dated references, subsequent Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to the agreement are based on research Whether the latest versions of these documents. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this standard.

GB 1350 paddy

GB 5491 grain and oilseeds testing for sampling, and sample method

GB/T 5494 Inspection of grain and grain, oil impurities, imperfect grain inspection

3 Terms and Definitions

GB 1350 and established the following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

3.1 Remove impurities and brown rice paddy outside the valley after.

3.2 Net paddy rice after shelling the sample (where imperfect grain mass binary calculation) mass fraction of the sample.

4 Principle

Experiments using hand-hulling machine shelling and husking rice husking combined manner, using sensory testing methods testing imperfect grain brown rice.

Samples were weighed rice, brown rice and imperfect grain quality, calculate the roughness.

5 Apparatus and appliances

5.1 Balance. dividing the value of 0.01g.

5.2 Sampler or sub-model.

5.3 Grain sieve. 2.0mm diameter round hole screen.

5.4 Experimental hulling machine.

6 Sampling

According to GB 5491 execution.

7 Sample Preparation

7.1 laboratory sample shall not be less than 1.0kg.

7.2 GB 5491 by the method of laboratory samples and sample a test sample.

7.3 The test sample according to GB/T 5494 method for removing impurities and valley outside the brown rice, a net rice test sample.
