1 Scope

GB/T 45094-2024 is the Chinese standard for hybrid wheel loaders. The loader's short cycle, load, reverse, turn, dump, return, is dominated by repeated acceleration and braking of a very heavy machine, which is precisely the duty a hybrid drivetrain converts into fuel saving, and Chinese manufacturers have moved into hybrid and electric loaders faster than anyone. The standard sets the parameters, then the technical requirements covering the performance, the hybrid powertrain and its energy storage, the electrical safety of the high voltage system with its isolation, protection and discharge requirements, the general machine safety, and the marking and information required for service and rescue. It then gives the test methods, including the cycle-based energy consumption and performance tests that make one machine comparable with another, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage, with an informative annex on the main parameters. It takes effect on 1 June 2025, and for a buyer comparing hybrid loaders in China it is the basis of the published figures.
