1 Scope

This standard defines the general terms of getter, classification terminology and terminology.

This standard applies to vacuum devices with getters.

2 general terms and definitions

2.1 Gas volume gasquantity

An ideal gas in a statistically equilibrium state has a kinetic energy measure equal to the product of the volume occupied by the gas and its pressure.

Note. If necessary, indicate the gas temperature or the value in liters at 20 ° C (Pa · m³), or coke (J).

2.2 Adsorption phase molecule

Gas molecules that have adsorbed on a solid surface.

2.3 Gas molecule

Corresponding to the adsorbed phase molecules, gas molecules on the gas side at the gas-solid interface.

2.4 Flow rate throughput

Qt

The amount of gas passing through a section within a unit of time. The unit is Pa [Sika] cubic meters per second (Pa · m3/s).

2.5 Leakage rate leak-uprate

Increased amount of gas per unit time due to leak or deflation in the system. The unit is Pa [Sika] cubic meters per second (Pa · m3/s).

2.6 Adsorption

The getter or getter film surface on the gas or vapor capture phenomenon.

Note. More specifically, "surface adsorption."

2.7 Absorption

Gas or vapor diffuses into the getter or getter film inside the phenomenon.

2.8 Inhale sorption

Due to adsorption and absorption phenomena caused by the gas and steam removal process.

2.9 Desorption

Gas absorption phenomenon.
