Scope
GB/T 4271-2021 is the English-translated version of 太阳能集热器性能试验方法.
GB/T 4271-2021 sets out test methods for the performance of solar collectors working with a liquid heat transfer fluid, including photovoltaic-photothermal composite collectors.
It covers laboratory and field tests for the pressure resistance of the fluid channels, standard stagnation temperature, air exposure, external and internal thermal shock, rain, freeze resistance, mechanical load, impact resistance, thermal performance and pressure drop.
The thermal performance part includes direct radiation measurement, peak and output power, effective heat capacity and incidence angle correction factors, and extends to medium and high temperature concentrating tracking collectors such as trough types.
It does not apply to collectors with integrated thermal storage or to collectors without a transparent cover. It replaces GB/T 4271-2007, was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 1 July 2022.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1. Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
This document replaces GB/T 4271-2007 "Test method for thermal performance of solar collectors". Compared with GB/T 4271-2007, except for the In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) Changed the type of applicable collector (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2007 edition);
b) Added the pressure test of liquid flow channel (see Chapter 5);
c) Added standard stagnation temperature test (see Chapter 6);
d) Added air exposure test (see Chapter 7);
e) Added external thermal shock test (see Chapter 8);
f) Added the internal thermal shock test (see Chapter 9);
g) added the rain test (see Chapter 10);
h) Added frost resistance test (see Chapter 11);
i) Added mechanical load test (see Chapter 12);
j) Added impact resistance test (see Chapter 13);
k) Added direct radiation parameter measurement (see 14.4.3);
l) The thermal performance test of medium and high temperature concentrating tracking collectors such as trough type and photovoltaic photothermal composite collectors has been added (see Chapter 14);
m) Changed the test requirements for inlet temperature (see 14.6.4, 8.1.4 of the 2007 edition);
n) increased the peak power and output power of the collector (see 14.7.2);
o) The test method for the effective heat capacity of the collector has been changed (see 14.8.2, 10.2 of the 2007 edition).
