Scope

GB 47739-2026 is the English-translated version of 光伏组件安全要求.

GB 47739-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the safety of a PV module - the electrical insulation and creepage at system voltage, the fire behaviour, the mechanical load and impact, the hot spot endurance, the junction box and connectors, and the marking that tells an installer what they are handling. A mandatory standard, and a first edition: China makes most of the world's modules, and this makes safety a condition of sale rather than a certification option. In force from 1 June 2027. It was issued on 25 May 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2027, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.
