GB/T 42010-2022 is the English-translated version of 包装容器 奶粉罐质量要求.
GB/T 42010-2022 is the Chinese national standard for the empty cans that milk powder is packed in.
It classifies them, with the body divided into cans with ribs and cans without, names the materials they are made of - tin-plated or chrome-plated thin steel sheet and aluminium and aluminium alloy foil - and then sets the technical requirements, describes the test methods and gives the inspection rules together with marking, packaging, transport and storage.
Among its definitions is the dimple end, the bottom cover whose rings of pits let air be drawn off and food-grade nitrogen or carbon dioxide filled in after pre-seaming.
It applies to making, using, trading and accepting such cans. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 14251-2017, GB/T 36003-2018, GB/T 29603-2013 and BB/T 0069-2014. Issued on 30 December 2022, it has applied since 1 July 2023.

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, materials, technical requirements, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of milk powder cans, and describes the test method.
This document is applicable to the manufacture and use of empty cans directly used to hold milk powder using tin (or chrome) thin steel sheets, aluminum and aluminum alloy foils as raw materials. Use, circulation and acceptance.

3 Terms and Definitions

3.1 Nitrogen filling point bottom cover dimpleend
In order to facilitate the extraction of the air in the tank after the pre-sealing of the tank body, it is filled with food-grade nitrogen or carbon dioxide and mixed gases, and the outer edge is processed. Bottom cover with ring-shaped distribution of pits of varying numbers.
