Scope
GB/T 41837-2022 is the English-translated version of 温泉服务 温泉水质要求.
GB/T 41837-2022 fixes the water quality required of a hot spring bathing service, separately at the source and in the bathing pools, with the testing requirements and methods.
The standards it quotes show what gets measured: the GB/T 5750 drinking-water methods for sensory and physical, inorganic non-metallic, metal, disinfectant and microbiological indices, HJ 84 for inorganic anions by ion chromatography and SL 94 for redox potential; informative annexes give the calculated upper limits for health-risk indices and a radon method by emission scintillation.
Hot spring water here is water from a natural underground source whose outlet temperature is not lower than 25 °C. It applies to managing and testing hot spring water quality in bathing services, not to home hot spring services in property developments. Issued on 14 October 2022, it has applied since 1 May 2023.
