This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1 Scope

GB/T 33452-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the vocabulary of laundry and dry cleaning - the processes and solvents, the stains and their treatment, the garment care symbols, the defects that lead to a claim and the terms in which a dispute over a damaged garment is settled. It replaces GB/T 33452-2016. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB/T 33452-2016. The document is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Commerce. This document defines the terms and definitions commonly used in the laundry and dry cleaning industry. This document applies to the operation, management, production, and service of the laundry and dyeing industry.

3 Basic Terminology
