Scope

GB/T 41518-2022 is the English-translated version of 页岩气勘探开发油基岩屑处理方法及控制指标.

GB/T 41518-2022 sets out how oil-based cuttings from shale gas exploration and development are handled and what limits apply to them.

It gives requirements and methods for the whole treatment chain: general requirements, then the control of collection, transport and storage, the technical requirements for treatment and those for resource utilisation.

It then fixes the control indicators and the requirements for environmental monitoring and environmental management. Oil-based cuttings are the cuttings produced when drilling with oil-based drilling fluids, including the oily sediment in the circulating tank.

Clause 2 cites GB 5085.6-2007, GB 8978, GB 18484, GB 18597, GB 18598 and GB 30485 together with several HJ monitoring specifications. It was issued on 15 April 2022 and has applied since 1 November 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the methods and control index requirements for the collection, transportation, storage, treatment and recycling of oil-based cuttings in shale gas exploration and development.

This document applies to oil-based cuttings disposal and process pollution control in shale gas exploration and development.
