GB/T 40750-2021 is the Chinese national standard for biogas slurry used in agriculture, the liquid residue left after livestock and poultry manure, crop straw and other agricultural organic wastes have been fully fermented without air in a biogas plant.
It covers the classification of the product, its quality requirements and test methods, the inspection rules, and marking, transport and storage. Its terms also include concentrated liquid fertilizer, made by separating and concentrating biogas slurry for foliar and soil flushing application, and anaerobic digested fertilizer.
It applies to the production, inspection and use of agricultural biogas slurry made mainly from such organic wastes, and refers to test methods for pH, odour, Ascaris egg mortality, heavy metals, humic acid and total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Agricultural biogas slurry
Using livestock and poultry manure, crop straws and other agricultural organic wastes as the main raw materials, it is produced through full anaerobic fermentation through a biogas project. Chemical and stabilization treatment, using organic liquid fertilizer, water fertilizer and irrigation water for liquid fermentation residues produced in farmland.
3.2 Concentrated liquid fertilizer with biogas slurry
The biogas slurry is separated, processed and concentrated, and can be used as a water-soluble fertilizer for foliar application and soil flushing application.
3.3 Anaerobic digested fertilizer
The waste produced by the anaerobic digestion of agricultural organic matter in the biogas project is used as the raw material and processed into fertilizers such as biogas residue and biogas slurry.
