GB/T 33804-2025 is the English-translated version of 肥料级腐植酸钾.
GB/T 33804-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the potassium salt of humic acid sold as a fertilizer input — the technical indexes in the requirements table, the limits on toxic and hazardous substances, the sample reduction and specimen preparation, the inspection rules, and the determination of soluble humic acid, potassium, organic matter, particle size and sodium, the last of these being the check that the potassium salt has not been cut with the cheaper sodium one. It replaces GB/T 33804-2017, under the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. In force from 1 December 2025. Issued on 30 May 2025, it has been in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB/T 33804-2017.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 33804-2017 "Potassium humate for agricultural use". Compared with GB/T 33804-2017, except for the structural adjustment and compilation In addition to logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The terms and definitions of “humic acid from mineral sources” and “potassium humate for agricultural use” have been deleted (see 3.1 and 3.2 of the 2017 edition);
b) Added the term and definition of "fertilizer grade potassium humate" (see 3.1), and changed the term and definition of "soluble humic acid" (see 3.2, 3.3 of the 2017 edition);
c) Changed some technical index requirements of the product (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2017 edition);
d) The limit requirements for toxic and hazardous substances (see 4.3, 4.3 of the 2017 edition) and their test methods (see 6.10, 5.9);
e) Added sample reduction and specimen preparation (see Chapter 5);
f) The determination method of soluble humic acid content has been changed (see 6.2, 5.3 and Appendix A of the 2017 edition);
g) The determination method of potassium content has been changed (see 6.3, 5.4 and Appendix B of the 2017 edition);
h) Added the determination method of organic matter content (see 6.5);
i) The method for determining sodium content has been changed (see 6.6, 5.6 and Appendix C of the 2017 edition);
j) Added the method for determining particle size (see 6.9);
k) The inspection rules have been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of the 2017 edition).

1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, sample reduction and sample preparation, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of fertilizer grade potassium humate.
The corresponding test methods are described.
This document applies to the research and development, production, testing and evaluation of fertilizer-grade potassium humate.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 38073-2019 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Potassium humate fertilizer is made by reacting mineral humic acid with potassium hydroxide under certain conditions.
3.2 Soluble humic acid
Humic acid fertilizers and humate products are obtained by extraction with water and acid precipitation, and the humic acid is in ionic state in the extract.
Note. Soluble humic acid is the main technical indicator for measuring humic acid fertilizers and humate products.
