Scope

GB/T 40011-2021 is the English-translated version of 低温先导式安全阀.

GB/T 40011-2021 covers pilot-operated safety valves for cryogenic service, where the medium is a vaporized low-temperature gas. It applies to valves up to PN100 and DN500 working at temperatures not lower than -196 °C with a set pressure of at least 0.1 MPa, and may be used as a reference for set pressures from 0.06 MPa to 0.1 MPa.

It specifies technical requirements on structure, design, materials, non-destructive testing, degreasing and performance.

Test methods cover a room temperature test, a low temperature test and a sealing test after the valve returns to normal temperature, followed by inspection items, factory inspection and lead sealing, type testing, marking of the main valve, pilot valve and nameplate, and packaging, transportation and storage. It was issued on 30 April 2021 and has applied since 1 November 2021.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, and inspection requirements of low-temperature pilot-operated safety valves (hereinafter referred to as safety valves). Marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to the nominal pressure less than or equal to PN100, the nominal size less than or equal to DN500, and the working temperature is not lower than Pilot-operated safety valve for low-temperature vaporized gas medium with a minimum set pressure of 0.1MPa at -196°C.

The pilot-operated safety valve for the low-temperature vaporized gas medium with the set pressure of 0.06MPa~0.1MPa can be used as a reference.
