Scope
GB/T 39966-2021 is the English-translated version of 废弃资源综合利用业环境绩效评价导则.
GB/T 39966-2021 gives guidance on evaluating the environmental performance of enterprises engaged in the comprehensive utilization of waste resources.
It sets out the evaluation principles, basic requirements, evaluation indicators, evaluation methods and evaluation procedure, and defines the key terms, including comprehensive utilization of waste resources as the reuse, remanufacturing and recycling of waste.
It covers industrial solid waste, agricultural and forestry waste, renewable resources, kitchen waste, construction waste and remanufacturing, but not the treatment of hazardous waste.
The evaluation draws on management system standards for quality, energy, environment and occupational health and safety, on life cycle assessment and on the calculation of remanufacturing rates. It was issued on 9 March 2021 and has applied since 1 October 2021.
