GB/T 38756-2020 is the English-translated version of 燃气燃烧器和燃烧器具用安全和控制装置 特殊要求 点火装置.
GB/T 38756-2020 covers ignition devices for gas burners and gas-burning appliances that use the town gas specified in GB/T 13611, and fixes their classification, structure and materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, installation and operating instructions, and packaging, transportation and storage.
Clause 1 limits the standard to spark, hot surface and arc ignition devices installed on the burner or near the burner.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard is consistent with GB 16914-2012 "Safety Technical Conditions for Gas Combustion Appliances". Appendix A gives the support of this standard. Correspondence table with the basic requirements of GB 16914-2012.
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the ignition devices for gas burners and burning appliances using town gas specified in GB/T 13611 (hereinafter referred to as Ignition device) classification, structure and materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, installation and operating instructions, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to sparks, hot surfaces and arc ignition devices installed on the burner or near the burner.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 30597 and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Ignition unit
The component that ignites the fuel in the burner.
3.2 Spark ignition unit
Ignition device composed of spark generator, high voltage wire and ignition electrode.
3.3 Spark generator
Ignition device parts that use electrical power or piezoelectric materials to generate electrical energy.
3.4 High voltage lead
An ignition device component that transmits high-voltage electrical energy from a spark generator to a spark ignition electrode.
